Hi there! I’m Andrei Andreev — concert pianist, composer, international competition winner… and most importantly, someone who absolutely loves teaching people how to play the piano.
I’ve performed all over the world — from historic halls in Russia to concert stages in China and the U.S. — but my favorite place might just be the piano bench next to a curious student.
Whether you’re just starting out or polishing your skills, I’ll meet you where you are and help you grow with solid technique, musical expression, and a little bit of humor too (yes, even during scales!).

My approach to piano instruction is rooted in the prestigious traditions of the Russian piano school, enriched by my international education and decades of teaching experience.
My lessons are a blend of structure and creativity, discipline and discovery, and always tailored to support the individual growth of each student — musically, intellectually, and emotionally.
My teaching is deeply influenced by the legendary pianists and pedagogues who shaped my own musical journey:
- Albert Tarakanov, my primary mentor at the Saratov Conservatory, was a student of Genrich Neuhaus — the famed teacher of Sviatoslav Richter and Emil Gilels.
- I also studied under pianists like Dmitri Bashkirov, William Grant Naboré, Paul Schenly, Alexander Dossin, and Peter Steinberg, whose guidance expanded my repertoire, teaching style, and connection to both Romantic and modern techniques.
These master teachers not only shaped me as a performer but also gave me a rich palette of pedagogical tools that I now passe on to my own students.
